Press office

The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) press office provides a central resource for all media enquiries.

Press Office opening hours

Only members of the media will be answered on this number. If you are calling in any other capacity please use our General Enquiries line. There are no exceptions to this. 

The MaPS press office opens from 9am to 5pm on weekdays. Outside of these hours, the press office is contactable by phone for urgent journalist enquiries only. Any non-urgent enquiries will be responded to the next business day.

For the last five years, we’ve dedicated a specific week of activity to promoting conversations about money. Talk Money Week in 2021 reached over 15 million people. This year, taking place from 6-10 November 2023. Be part of the conversation.

About the Money and Pensions Service 

Our vision is “Everyone making the most of their money and pensions.” 

We offer free, impartial help and guidance on money and pensions via www.moneyhelper.org.ukOpens in a new window and 0800 138 7777. For services in Welsh, please visit www.helpwrarian.org.ukOpens in a new window or call 0800 138 0555. The service includes a range of free tools, plus the opportunity to speak to an expert via WhatsApp, phone, email or live chat.

We also co-ordinate the UK Strategy for Financial Wellbeing, working with partners and stakeholders to help everyone find their way forward and build a better financial future.

We are an arms-length body, sponsored by the Department for Work and Pensions and funded by levies on both the financial services industry and pension schemes.
