Money and Pensions Service announces reappointment of Simon Hamilton to its Board

The Minister for Pensions, Torsten Bell MP, has reappointed Simon Hamilton as a non-executive director (NED) of the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) Board for a further five-year term.

Non-Executive members of the MaPS Board are responsible for providing oversight, support and challenge to the MaPS Executive team, led by CEO Oliver Morley CBE.

Simon first joined the MaPS Board as NED on 1 September 2022. He has held a diverse portfolio of NED and Board advisory roles and brings more than 30 years’ experience in financial services with extensive expertise in strategy, digital innovation and complex transformation delivery.

Sara Weller CBE, Chair of the MaPS Board, says:

“We are pleased that Simon has been appointed to provide strategic oversight and support to the MaPS Board for another five years.

“Simon brings a wealth of experience from across the financial services sector and I look forward to continuing our work together to create better financial futures for everyone in need.”

Simon Hamilton says:

“I am delighted to continue my role as NED and Senior Independent Director at MaPS.

“MaPS’ organisational capability has grown significantly since 2022 and I am excited to continue working with Sara, fellow Board members and dedicated colleagues to help people in need achieve better financial futures.”
