We carry out surveys with people in the UK across a range of topics related to money, pensions and debt. You can find out more about our research and how we use it below.
The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) is an arm’s-length body sponsored by the Department for Work and Pensions, established at the beginning of 2019, and also engages with HM Treasury on policy matters relating to financial capability and debt advice.
We help people – particularly those most in need – to improve their financial wellbeing and build a better, more confident future. Working collaboratively across the UK, we make sure customers can access high-quality money and pensions guidance and debt advice throughout their lives, how and when they need it.
You may have been invited to take part in some research from MaPS, and we encourage you to do that. Your views are important to us and can help shape our work.
Thank you to everyone who takes part in any of our research.

We make sure all our research is needed to help with our work, and we will only collect data that is helpful and proportionate.
We will never ask for your bank details, or any payment details.
We also carry out research to capture feedback from organisations that MaPS engages with and other stakeholders. If you don’t wish to be contacted about taking part in MaPS stakeholder research, either by MaPS or by one of our research partners, please email [email protected]Opens in a new window.
